North Carolina's Best Golf Destination

Chicora was built in 1952 by Harnett County citizens. However, Chicora shareholders sold the facility in 2003, including the golf course, club house and swimming pool to the Gryqiel Golf Group.

In the Summer of 2006, Joe and Hannah Tart, Gerald and Linda Hayes, Larry and Parrish Daughtry, Steve and Lee Malone, Joey and Kathryn Tart, and Michael and Heather Williams all joined together to form a new company known as Chicora II LLC and purchased the club from the Gryqiel Golf Group, returning the club to the local ownership.

The one thing these prominent local faces have in common is they all live near or inside Chicora and their main concern is to take care of the neighborhood and its facilities.
